The MV-22 has a fuselage including refueling probe of approximately 30". The rotor span is approximately 21 inches.
In the case of the pictured MV-22 which was built for one of the original designers, each blade is balanced at 75 grams and
the hubs are mounted on tool bearings to allow for a smooth rotation. The rotors are weighted in the center and will
rotate at about 100 rpms while the fuselage maintains alignment with the wind. Due to the extra work for the rotors,
this aircraft is priced at the 4 engine aircraft level.
This helicopter is currently available. The fuselage is 30 inches long. In a light wind, the main rotor blades
will turn at about 20 to 30 RPM's.
